Fun, challenging, and also tiring. I LOVE MY JOB.

Dilemma

“Be careful for what you wish for cause you just might get it all”

After being graduated, my status has officially became unemployed. I applied many jobs opportunity to get a job as soon as possible. After spending many times attending a job test, fortunately I pass the test. Dilemma struck me as I need to choose among two jobs that I consider good. One is a sales MT position in an electronic company and the other is a Financial MT position in an oil and gas company.

The job in the oil and gas company would provide me with huge benefits from A to Z. The salary would make me financially secure. I won’t need to worry about paying my bills. Even when attending the test, I could reimburse all my of my travel spending and I was given a room in a luxurious hotel for 2 nights.

The second job in the electronic company offers me different value. It offers me salary a lot less compared to the first one, but I find it challenging to work here. I see this as a great challenge for me by being enrolled as a sales staff in a handheld products division which has many dynamics and high turnover. I believe it will be exciting to work here.

As a rational being, I would choose one that benefits me the most. I have chosen to pledge my future in the electronic company. This is an option between wealth and idealism. Many said that it was a foolish decision to give up the opportunity to work in the oil and gas company. This is my life and I’m the one who live my life. I believe my decision is the best that suits me.

Stupid is when you are isolated in a monastery, prohibited to talk for 3 days, and you forget to bring a towel.

Meditation Session

Every friday night at 7pm a meditation session is held at Karangdjati monastery. Though it is a buddhist monastery, all people are welcome to join the meditation session, regardless the religion. The meditation starts at 7pm, the sound of gong is used to mark the beginning and ending of the meditation session. All of the attendance sit still, only focusing on an object for an hour. After the meditation, the attendance gather up in a circle for the discussion and dinner session. Most of the discussion topic consist of morality, spirituality, wisdom and history. The discussion is  universal without refering to any religion.

I’ve spent my two recent weeks meditating here, though people may see this as odd. Meditation is a mental training without any religion attributes. Tolerance is the main lessons that I’ve learned here. The people here see others without regarding the religion attributes. The people here act because they notice that it is their responsibility to do good deeds to the universe, which is similar with the responsibility as Khalifatullah in Islam.

How I Met Yus and How I Met Adi storybook.

Take my hand.
We will walk.
We will only walk.
We will enjoy our walk without thinking of arriving anywhere.
Walk peacefully.
Walk happily.
Our walk is a peace walk.
Our walk is a happiness walk.
